turnips, garlic and onions starting to grow

Tonight a half moon is shining (or more technically, the first quarter).

We’ve had no rain to speak of in the last week.

Less than three weeks since we planted the farm . . . On Good Friday we put in beans, yellow squash, onions, corn, turnips, cucumbers, zucchini, butternut squash, watermelon, potatoes, garlic, and more squash.

And already there are weeds to be hoed. More corn to get in the ground (so it doesn’t all come in at once. Well, duh?! Why didn’t I think of that?). Bugs eating the bean plants and green stuff coming up everywhere.

Seems like there ought to be lots to learn, lessons galore. And there are. They are just still growing. So let’s wait and see what arrives in season.
