With more than five years of nurturing community, building habits, and finishing our projects, we are happy to share some fruit of our community’s labors here in the Writing Table Gallery. The following books and projects were writing in part or in whole at the Writing Table since 2020.
Here is what authors have to say about how the community who gathers at the Writing Table supported them. And they also have a lot of appreciation for working with Eileen as WT host and as a personal writing coach. You can purchase any of the books below at Bookshop.org from the Three Minute Ministry Mentor bookshelf.

Charisse Gillett, That Little Girl

Dr. Charisse Gillett is president of Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, Kentucky. Here is more from Charisse’s acknowledgments in her newest book That Little Girl: Memories, Challenges, and Reflections on Black Girl Dreams (Tehom, 2025).
I am grateful to Kris P. Bentley for introducing me to Eileen Campbell-Reed the host of the Writing Table. After listening to Kris praise the writing community she found around the Writing Table, and Eileen’s help in moving her project forward, I finally sent her an email. It was a good decision.
More than the insight and wisdom gained about storytelling, narrative and writing, Eileen offered me a way to shed the clinical language of reports and develop a creative discipline for writing That Little Girl. “Leave some breadcrumbs” was the best advice I received from her as a writer. Eileen’s suggestion to write in small chunks every day has led me to this moment of celebration. It’s done. I hope it’s done, but if not, I can see the light at the end of the page. Thank you, Eileen Campbell-Reed.
